Our Vision
St. Paul’s youth ministry is called to be a welcoming and inclusive community in Christ, empowering youth and their families to serve as Christ’s hands, feet, and heart. We name this community with its Greek translation: Koinonia.
Koinonia- n. 1. Christian fellowship or communion with God or with fellow Christians; particularly with reference to the early Christian community.
Mission Statement
Call—Nurture—Send
With respect to the teachings of Jesus, this mission takes its practical form from Jesus’s response to a simple question. In Matthew’s words:
One of [the Pharisees], an expert in the law, tested him with this question: “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” -Matthew 22:35-40
Jesus’s priorities for us can be summed up like this:
1. Love God
2. Love people
We try to live by these priorities at K-Café.
